Cervitech is supporting Reflex Group, based in Telford, UK, in improving the sustainability and reliability of their production process. Reflex Group is a leading player in sustainable packaging and aims to offset all historical CO₂ emissions since its founding in 2002 by 2030. A well-functioning and reliable afterburner system is essential for this.

The old afterburner
The project began with problems with the existing afterburner, manufactured by a different manufacturer. Previous attempts by third parties to restore the system to stable operation had been unsuccessful. Cervitech immediately deployed specialists on-site to inspect the system, replace components, perform repairs, and re-optimize the settings. Thanks to this intervention, the afterburner was temporarily put back into reliable operation.
To structurally assess the installation, Cervitech conducted a complete inspection in November. The results were documented in a comprehensive inspection report and explained in a presentation to Reflex Group. The conclusion was clear: the existing afterburner had reached the end of its service life, was no longer reliable, and no longer met current and future requirements.
The municipality also endorsed this conclusion and stated that the afterburner must meet current emission standards. To ensure continued compliance, the decision was made to completely replace the system. The new Cervitech afterburner does meet these emission standards and offers a future-proof solution.
The solution
Reflex Group has entrusted Cervitech with the delivery of the new afterburner. This is a system with a capacity of 20,000 Nm³/h. Cervitech will handle the entire project turnkey: from removing the old afterburner to installing it, connecting it to the existing system, and fully commissioning the new system.
The work is scheduled for May. With this turnkey approach, Cervitech will provide complete support to Reflex Group, delivering a reliable, efficient, and emissions-compliant project solution that aligns with Reflex Group's sustainability ambitions.
