As a Construction Planner, you're the driving force behind the preparation process for a wide variety of projects. Whether it's new construction, residential renovations, or commercial construction, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly. During the project implementation, you'll work closely with the site manager and utilize your communication skills and construction knowledge to make projects a success.
The function
- Checking and assessing documents and specifications for feasibility and informing the project manager and/or executor thereof.
- Determine the nature and scope of the work and, where necessary, consult with the client and record choices.
- Consult with the contractor about the implementation period and coordinate this with personnel and equipment.
- Drawing up draft plans and coordinating with internal and external parties.
- Checking, testing, and, if necessary, adjusting specifications, working drawings, and piping diagrams; applying for permits.
- Drafting (partial) contracts and coordination with subcontractors.
- Ensuring the availability of materials, placing orders and negotiating with suppliers.
- Participate in work meetings, discuss details with the contractor and implement changes or provide quotes for additional work.
- Identify deviations in planning and activities and propose corrections and alternative solutions.
- Monitoring invoices and maintaining administration related to the project.
As a work planner, you'll also monitor compliance with laws and regulations regarding quality, safety, and the environment. You'll stay abreast of the latest construction technology developments and participate in relevant working groups, such as BENG (Netherlands Building Regulations) and WKB (Netherlands Building Regulations for Buildings and Construction).

- A completed construction education at MBO+ or HBO level.
- Demonstrable work experience in a similar position.
